Hello! I’m MV Shivaani, a Ph.D. candidate in Accounting at University of Texas at Dallas.

I use empirical methods to examine how contractual, informational, and regulatory constraints shape firm behavior.

I previously earned a Ph.D. in Finance from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, a Master’s degree in Business Analytics, and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Honors) from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC). Before joining UT Dallas, I served as a faculty member at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and Hult International Business School, Boston. I am also a Chartered Accountant, India.

Besides research, I enjoy traveling, photography, culinary arts, and creative writing.
